WILLIAM BOREN Died Last Week

William A. Boren, well known farmer of the St. Charles community, died at the Madison county Memorial hospital in Winterset last Wednesday, Jan. 31, 1951, at the age of 77 years.

The Rev. Joe M. King conducted his funeral services which were held in the St. Charles Church of Christ Saturday afternoon, Feb. 3, and burial was made in the local cemetery.

Mr. Boren, the son of John W. and Lucinda Boren, was born in Marion county, Iowa, December 26, 1873, and lived in or near Knoxville until he moved to St. Charles in March, 1937, where he engaged in farming as long as his health permitted.

He was married to Miss Cora A. Grove at Knoxville, Dec. 25, 1899. They were the parents of five children. His wife and four of the children survive him: Fred G. Boren of Venice, Calif., Robert E., of Des Moines, Mrs. Blanche Welty of Winterset and Mrs. Helen Shutt of Truro. A son, John Wilbur preceded him in death. He also leaves two grandsons and a granddaughter and four brothers and three sisters.
