Emmett Henderson, Hampton

Funeral services for Emmett Wayne Henderson, 58, Hampton, a former resident of Peru, who died July 6 at Franklin General Hospital, were held Friday July 10, at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Hampton with the Rev. Timothy Larson officiating. Burial was at the Hampton Cemetery.

Born Aug. 3, 1928, he was the son of Duncan and Edith Smith Henderson. He married Dorothy Lursen Feb. 7, 1952 in Mason City.

Mr. Henderson worked as a farmer and trucker.

Surviving are his wife; sons, David at home, Don of Hampton, Randy of Mason City, Les of Des Moines and Ron of Mountain View, Calif.; daughters, Sheryl Roberts of Mitchellville and Sharon Henderson of Des Moines; four grandchildren; and brothers, Loran of Alexander, Glen of Des Moines and Orval of Rudd.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, four brothers and a sister.
