Larry Gene Waltz, 52, of Winterset died Sunday, Jan. 4, 1998, in a Des Moines hotel room on 4th and Walnut. Cause of death is pending a toxicology report.
Funeral services will be today (Wednesday) at 1:30 p.m. at the First United Presbyterian Church in Winterset with Dr. George Lair officiating. Burial will follow at Winterset Cemetery.
Larry was born in Winterset Nov. 9, 1945, to Eugene Leroy and Rosie R. Fleener Waltz. He graduated from Winterset High School in 1964. He was a painter and a lifetime resident of Winterset. He was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winterset.
He is survived by his parents. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
