Services Held For Clarence Cooper

Funeral services for Clarence Everett Cooper of Osceola, formerly of Truro, were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 26, at Webster-Kale funeral Home with Rev. George Neal officiating.

Burial was at Maple Hill Cemetery in Osceola.

Mr. Cooper died Sunday, September 23, at Clarke County Hospital in Osceola at the age of 69.

Born on November 12, 1909 in Livingston County, Mo., he was the son of Calvin and Mary Irene Lineville Cooper. He was married to Eunice Rhone on July 3, 1940 at Shenandoah.

A farmer, Mr. Cooper lived at Truro 16 years, moving to the Osceola area in 1956 where he farmed until 1978. He attended Deer Creek Chapel at Lorimor.

Survivors include his wife Eunice; three children, David Cooper of Osceola, Don Cooper of Indianola and Diann Cooper of Des Moines; a brother, Clifton Cooper of Trenton, Mo.; seven sisters, Lena Johnson, Eva Davenport, Florence Grewell, Veolia Eckert, Irene Cooper, Geneva Holden of Chillcothe (Chillicothe), Mo., and Elma Ward of Ames; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Glen.
