William Charles (Chuck) Haywood, Gilmer, Tex.

Services for William (Chuck) Haywood, 54, who died at his home Sunday, Mar. 6, at Gilmer, Tex., were held Mar. 9 at the Croley Chapel in Gilmer with the Rev. Ernest Hodge officiating. Burial was in the Gladwater Memorial Cemetery.

Born July 4, 1928 in Winterset, he was the son of George and Grace Haywood. He had lived in Gilmer for three years and was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, a retired building contractor and a member of the Methodist church.

He married the former Juanita Walden on Oct. 27, 1978 and she survives.

Other survivors include two step-daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Casebolt of Casper, Wyo., and Mrs. Susan Schmidt of Sheridan, Wyo., and a sister, Mrs. Virginia Marsh of Fremont, Neb.
