Maurice Berneice Watkins, 84, died of a respiratory ailment Monday, March 9, 1998, at Care Center North in Winterset.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 13, at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with the Rev. Bill Branson officiating. Burial was at Winterset cemetery.
Maurice Watkins was born April 5, 1913, at Amiret, Minn., to William Donald and Nettie Watkins. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a retired farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, John, Lyle, Percy and Melvin; and a sister, Ruth.
He is survived by two brothers, Delbert Snyder of Pablo, Mont., and Rodney Watkins (wife Glenva) of Salem, Ore.; and nieces and nephews.
