David A. Jamison, 48, of Winterset died March 28, 2005, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 31, at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset with Pastor Robert Barrick officiating. Visitation will be held from 1–8 p.m. today (Wednesday, March 30) at the funeral home where the family will be present to greet friends from 6–8 p.m. Burial of the cremains will take place at a later date.
David Jamison was born March 17, 1957, in Iowa City to Rolland and Carolyn (Wilson) Jamison. He served in the United States National Guard and lived in Sun City, Ariz., before moving to Winterset in June of 2003. On Dec. 24, 2003, he married Maureen O’Neill at the Madison County Courthouse in Winterset. David was an amateur actor for 10 years with the Arizona Gunfighters, a touring drama group which reenacted scenes from the Western Frontier.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Edith Jamison and Elden and Carita Wilson.
He is survived by his wife, Maureen, of Winterset; his parents, Rolland and Carolyn, of Winterset; one daughter, Heather McGlade of Phoenix, Ariz.; four stepsons, Andrew, Mark, John and Steven Golding, all of England; a sister, Brenda Jamison of Peoria, Ariz.; and one grandchild and two stepgrandchildren.
