Berline Wasson, 82, of West Des Moines, died of a stroke Feb. 20, 1996 at the Des Moines General Hospital. Memorial graveside services were held Feb. 26 at the Winterset Cemetery. The Rev. David Bauer officiated the services.

She was born in Greenfield on June 22, 1913 to Bert and Elsie (Lamb) Ellis. She married Frank E. Wasson on Aug. 5, 1934 in Winterset. She was a retired purchase manager for the Department of Corrections of the State of Iowa. She had lived in Des Moines the past 20 years but had lived most of her life in Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one sister.

Surviving relatives include one son, Frank G. Wasson of Boise, Idaho; one sister, Dorothy Prall of Des Moines; and one grandson.
