Louie Harsh Services Held

Louie Harsh, a resident of Winterset for six years, died at the Villa West Care Center Monday, March 25th after a lengthy illness. He was 74 years of age.

He was a former resident of Greenfield and Stuart and had been employed as a carpenter and painter.

He is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Darlene Alexander of South Sioux City, Nebraska, and Mrs. Norma Bickford of Morro Bay, California. Also surviving are a step-daughter, Phyllis Hobbs of Des Moines; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Mrs. Grace Frederick of Winterset, and Mrs. Elizabeth Beaman and Mrs. Lloyd Harrison of Greenfield. He was preceded in death by his wife on October 22, 1973.

Funeral services were held from the Bickford-Murray Funeral Home in Greenfield Wednesday morning, March 27, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Eldon Jandebeur, pastor of the Winterset Christian church officiating. Burial was in the Greenfield Cemetery.
