OBITUARY

Ollie Albert Davis, the fourth among eleven children, was born to James Madison and Ar-Villa Davis on April 2, 1880 near Winterset, Ia., and died at his home in Earlham on May 29, 1943 at the age of 63 years, one month and 27 days.

On Sept. 6, 1916, he was united in marriage with Hattie Prohaska of Earlham, Iowa.

"Cap" as he was known to his friends, spent his entire life in Madison County, where he was a successful farmer for a number of years.

Soon after leaving the farm his health began to fail. He then engaged himself in whatever work his health would permit. Cap was very fond of children and took great pride in making friends with, and doing things for them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.

He leaves to mourn his death his devoted wife, two brothers, Charles and John Davis of Winterset, Iowa, two sisters Rose Trester of Earlham and Mae Reynolds of Des Moines and a number of nieces and nephews.
