Marolee Kinch-Harrell, Winterset

Marolee Elaine Kinch-Harrell, 50, of Winterset, died of a heart attack May 22, 2004, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today (Wednesday) at St. Paul Lutheran church in Winterset with Pastor Alex Bauman officiating. Burial will be at Winterset Cemetery.

Marolee Kinch-Harrell was born Jan. 27, 1954 in Cedar Rapids to Walter A. and Maxine E. (Lutz) Kinch. On July 9, 1983, she married Howard Harrell in Winterset. A resident of Winterset since 1981, Marolee was a junior high and high school Spanish teacher for the Winterset Community School District and for the past 24 years, a sponsor for American Field Service (AFS). She also was co-owner of the "What Do You Collect" antique shop in Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Walter L. Kinch.

She is survived by her husband, Howard of Winterset; one daughter, Taylor Leigh Harrell of Winterset; her mother, Maxine E. Kinch of Cedar Falls; two stepdaughters, Janelle Markham of Fountain, Colo., and Julie Harrell of Clyde, Texas; a brother, Karl Kinch of Cedar Rapids; and a sister Leanne Hensley of Cedar Falls.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset.
