Death of WESLEY MYERS - Van Meter Special

Wesley Myers passed away at his home in Jefferson township Tuesday, November 3rd, 1936, after a short illness with pneumonia.

He was born on February 26, 1869 and was 67 years of age at the time of his death. In his younger years he resided at Marengo but later lived in Madison county. On December 23, 1896 he was married to Marietta Powell who preceded him in death.

He is survived by six children, Mrs. Lloyd Reigle of Booneville, Mrs. Hugh Ramsey of Earlham, Arthur Myers of Polo, Ill., Marie Myers of Estherville, Florence Myers of Los Angeles, California and Warren Myers of Van Meter, one sister, Mrs. Mary Mumby of Marengo and two brothers, Lawson of DeSoto and Thomas of Lineville.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at two o'clock from the Fisher funeral home conducted by the Rev. E. A. Elliott. Interment was made at the Earlham cemetery.
