Services for Nile Q. Harden, 79, who died at the Creston hospital April 25 were held at the United Methodist Church at Greenfield Wednesday, April 27 with the Rev. Charles D. Gilbert officiating. Burial was at the Greenfield Cemetery.
Born in Adair County on May 10, 1903, he was the son of Ernest and Maggie Lauer Harden. He farmed in Madison County for some 31 years.
Mr. Harden married Hazel Platt April 18, 1928 at the home of her parents.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel, and son Gerald; sisters, Mrs. Edith Bamsey and Mrs. Blanche Cook, both of Creston; and a brother, Clare of Macksburg. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Durl.
