Edward Hampton, 70, of St. Charles died Feb. 26 at Mercy Hospital after a long period of heart illness.
He is survived by his wife, Mable; a daughter, Mrs. Myra Athy of St. Charles; three sons, Edward Jr., of De Soto, Thompson of Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Matthew at home; 10 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Brannon of Thayer, Missouri, Mrs. Hester Laws, Malden, Missouri and Mrs. Mary Catharine McGrath, Gainsville, Florida.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 2 at McLaren Resthaven Chapel, West Des Moines.
Interment was in Resthaven Cemetery.
