Mrs. Ethel Weaver of Winterset died last Wednesday, March 31, 1971, at the McCauley nursing home here. She was 83 years of age.
Mrs. Weaver had been a resident of Madison county most of her life-time. She was the former Mary Ethel Rhone, daughter of Franklin and Lydia Simpson Rhone, and was born at Paddock, Nebr., on Feb. 8, 1888. She moved to Iowa in 1892, and spent the remainder of her life in Madison and Union counties.
She was married Nov. 25, 1908, at Peru, to Sheldon Weaver. His death occurred in 1937.
She was a member of the Peru Methodist church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Eugene Corsbie of Truro; a grandson, Danny Corsbie of Urbandale; and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Newton Coughenour, pastor of the First United Methodist church of Winterset. Burial was made in the Peru cemetery.

Word was received here of the death of Ethel Weaver. She is the mother of Lydia Crosbie. Funeral was held at the Collins Funeral Home at Winterset.
