OLLIE HAINES DIED MONDAY

Funeral Held on Wednesday For Scott Township Farmer

Ollie H. Haines, a long-time resident of Madison county, died Monday, July 17, at Madison County Memorial hospital. He was 71 years of age.

The son of John and Mary Alice Fishback Haines, he was born in Hardin county, Iowa on Oct. 10, 1895. He was married to Edith M. Graves at the home of her parents southeast of Winterset on July 26, 1916.

From 1904 until 1965, when he moved to Winterset, Mr. Haines lived on the some farm in Scott township. He attended Zion Federated church.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Helen) Wright of Winterset, Merle D. Haines of Minneapolis, Minn., and Lyle H. Haines of Truro; one brother, M. L. Haines of Hayden Lake, Idaho; one sister, Mrs. Winnie Anderson of Winterset; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.

Funeral services for Mr. Haines were held this Wednesday afternoon from Collins Funeral home here, with the Rev. William Bowles officiating. Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
