The Rev. Lorna I. Welch, 93, of Winterset died Oct. 15, 2005, at West Bridge Care & Rehabilitation in Winterset.
Visitation is being held today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be directed to a fund established in Lorna's name.

Lorna was born October 3, 1912 in Winterset, Iowa, the daughter of Robert Burns and Zelma L. (Peacock) Pace. She married Seldon Welch who preceded her in death.
Lorna was an ordained minister with the Association of International Gospel Assemblies Incorporated. Her dedication to her faith took her to Virginia and Missouri for missionary work as well as Des Moines, Dubuque, Winterset and Clinton where she served various times at the Open Door Mission homeless shelter and the Christian Community Fellowship Church.
In her youth, Lorna worked with her father in his Winterset harness shop, worked for the Mayor of Winterset and helped manage a local restaurant; and she later operated a small nursing home in Lorimor. In her free time Lorna loved to write poetry as well as paint.
