Bibianne 'B' Weldon, 78, of Winterset, died of cancer June 23, 1996 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Funeral services are today, June 26, at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Winterset. Pastor Don Frank will officiate the services and burial will be at the Winterset Cemetery.
She was born in Ida Grove on March 10, 1918 to Frank and Anna (Olson) Hazlitt. She married Kenneth W. Weldon on June 23, 1940 in Missouri. She was a retired clerk for the Department of Agriculture. She had been a resident of Winterset for the past 50 years and had been a Sunday school teacher; Cub Scout and Brownie leader; an avid bowler and golfer; and she loved the card game bridge. She was a member of the Lakeview Country Club; numerous bridge clubs; Democratic Women's Organization; NARFE (National Association of Retired Federal Employees) officer; and an active member of the First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers; and one sister.
Surviving relatives include two sons, Michael Weldon and wife Tress of Cedar Rapids and Richard (Rick) Weldon and wife Dianne of West Des Moines; one daughter, Michele (Micki) Utsler and husband Larry of Winterset; two sisters, Marge Grimsman of Carroll and Bets Behn of Ft. Dodge; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
