VERA WEIGEL, Winterset

Vera Weigel, 79, died of a resspiratory ailment Thurs., June 4, 1992, at Bethesda Care Center where she was a resident. The body was cremated, and memorial services were held June 6 at Van Meter United Methodist Church.

She was born in Rosalie, Neb. July 20, 1912 to Benjamin and Eleanor Olson and married Aldreth Weigel February 9, 1934 in Guthrie Center. She was a homemaker and a member of Van Meter United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She had lived in Winterset for two and a half years.

She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Surviving are her husband; three sons, Dr. Perry L. Weigel and Keith, both of Van Meter, and Paul of Woodward; a daughter, Carol Stonehocker of West Des Moines; a sister, Norma Thompson of Mason City; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were handled by Fisher Funeral Home, Van Meter.
