JOHN FLANIGAN, Dies Suddenly in Douglas Township

John Flanigan, an old resident of this county and at one time deputy auditor, died Sunday at midnight at the home of his sister, Mrs. Chas. Bruett, of Douglas township. He had been in failing health for the past few years, and had been under the doctor's care recently, but his trouble was not considered of immediate danger. During the night, he called his brother-in-law, Mr. Bruett, to wait upon him. After Mr. Bruett helped him into his bed, he remarked. "I believe I am done for," and passed away without speaking again.

The deceased was born in Tuscarawas county, OHio, in 1841. In 1857 he came with his parents to this county, which has since been his home. He never married and of recent years, had made his home with his sister, at whose home he died.

Funeral services were held from the Bruett home on Tuesday afternoon conducted by Rev. E. E. Bennett, and the interment made in the Stringtown Cemetery in Douglas township.
