IRVIN PARKINS, Death Due to Fall In River

Irvin Parkins, son of John Parkins of this place, died at Mercy hospital in Des Moines on last Thursday as the result of typhoid fever contracted from a fall in the river where he was engaged in cutting ice. The remains were brought here Friday evening and the burial services held at the North Branch U.B. church on Sunday.

Irvin Parkins was born in Lee township, Madison county, Iowa, July 22, 1873 and died at Mercy hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, Feb. 15, 1906. Aged 32 years, 6 moths, and 24 days. Excepting a few months spent in Missouri, a few months in Minnesota, and one year in Des Moines, nearly all of his life has been spent in Madison county.

He leaves a wife, a father, four brothers, one sister, and other kindred in bereavement. Irvin was a bright, intelligent boy and loved by all who knew him.
