Wednesday, July 31, 1974Former Resident Dies at Waterloo
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, July 29 for Edmund C. Hansen of Waterloo, a former resident and banker in Winterset.
Mr. Hansen died last Friday, July 26 at Scholtz Hospital in Waterloo. He was 60 years of age.
A native of Rinstead, Iowa, Mr. Hansen was cashier of the Union State Bank of Winterset from 1956 to 1962. After leaving Winterset, he served as president of a bank at Kimball, Nebraska and was most recently employed as an assistant cashier for the People's Bank in Waterloo. Mr. Hansen was also a judge for the American Kennel Club.
Survivors include his wife, June, and three sons: Edmund C. Hansen, Jr., of Des Moines; Richard K. Hansen of Waterloo; and Gordon A. Hansen of White Bear Lake, Minnesota; as well as two sister, three brothers, and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, July 29 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Waterloo, with burial in Waterloo.
