Eldon P. Grulke, Pittsburg, Kansas

Eldon Painter Grulke, 73, of Pittsburg, Kan., died at 6:50 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 21 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center in Pittsburg. He had been ill since August of 1980.

He was born in Lewis, Iowa, Jan. 8, 1909 to Herman C. and Jennie Painter Grulke. He moved to Winterset, when he was 4 and lived there until moving to his present home in June of 1981.

He married Freda G. Bruett. She died in 1971. On May 3, 1973 he married Beatrice Carter in Pittsburg.

He was a minister with Kingsway Ministries in Des Moines. He had the KBAB radio ministry program in Indianola from 1975 to 1980. He was also a painter and contractor.

Mr. Grulke was a member of the Church of God in Mindenmines, Mo.

Survivors include his wife, Beatrice; a daughter, Shirley Allen of Winterset; two grandsons; and one sister, Lydia Grulke of Winterset.

Services were at 2 p.m. Sat. Oct. 23 at the Foursquare Church in Winterset with the Rev. Charles Updike officiating. Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
