ELIZABETH R. WEHRLE

Elizabeth, the daughter of Wesley L. and Isabelle Hamner Robinson was born September 2, 1890 at Red Rock, Iowa.

As a young woman she graduated from the Marion County High School and later attended Des Moines University. She became a school teacher and taught in several Iowa Communities including Monroe County, Buxton and Albia.

For a time she made her home in Des Moines. She moved to Earlham in 1955 and lived with her daughter Mary until moving into the Earlham Manor in 1966. She has been a resident of the Good Samaritan Care Center in Indianola for almost ten years and passed away there on Wednesday afternoon, January 20, 1982.

Elizabeth is survived by three daughters; Mrs. Catherine Knight of Winterset, Mrs. Mary Petersen of Earlham, and Mrs. Virginia Saharoff of San Francisco, California; also her two sons, John L. of Waterloo and Elbert of Boone.

She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, one daughter, two sisters and five brothers.

She was a member of the Earlham Presbyterian Church and always enjoyed her church relationships.

Services were held Sunday, January 24, at 2:00 p.m. at the McKee Funeral Home in Earlham, Iowa. The Rev. Gladys P. Priest officiated.

Services were held Sunday, January 24, at 2:00 p.m. at the McKee Funeral Home in Earlham, Iowa. The Rev. Gladys P. Priest officiated. Music was an organ solo, “How Great Thou Art”. Casket bearers were John L. Wehrle, Jr., Francis Wehrle, William Wehrle, Thomas Wehrle, Dean Wehrle, Steven Wehrle, and Chris Biondi.

Interment was at the Earlham Cemetery on Monday morning, January 25.
