Word has been received here of the death of a former resident of the Kasson neighborhood, George West, at his home in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on November 2, 1973. Services were held in Edmonton November 6th. Mr. West lived in the Kasson neighborhood until moving to Canada about thirty years ago.
He is survived by his wife Eva, 7 children, 20 grandchildren, two brothers, William Nitzche of Lorimor and Elmer Nitzche of Dania, Florida and a sister, Mrs. Virgil (Cora) Sherman of Hastings, Nebraska.
Three nieces, Mrs. Ralph Smith of Afton and Mrs. Raymond Smith and Mrs. Ronald Woodley of Lorimor, flew to Edmonton to attend the services. They were accompanied by Mrs. Sherman of Hastings, Nebraska.
