PAUL T. WENCK, Winterset

Paul Theodore Wenck, 82, of Winterset died from complications of a stroke March 28, 2000, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 31, at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with the Rev. J. R. Wheeler officiating. Burial will be at Winterset Cemetery.

Paul Wenck was born Oct. 20, 1917, in Carroll County to Otto John and Emme (Fricke) Wenck. He married Darlene Jewell Houdeshell on Nov. 30, 1941, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Lake City. A retired farmer, Paul was a resident of Winterset since 1963. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Osceola.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Clair Wenck of Winterset; a daughter, Paulette Wenck of Waukee; two sisters, Alma Bruggeman of Carroll and Dorothy Albers of Sac City; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
