ILA VANSCOY, Winterset

Ila Marie VanScoy, 71, of Winterset died June 19, 2006, at Winterset Care Center North.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 26, at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Winterset with Pastor Jody Dickhaut officiating. Burial was at Maple Hill Cemetery in Osceola.

Ila VanScoy was born May 3, 1935, in Osceola to Vernon LeRoy and Edith (Gardner) Smith. A resident of Winterset for the past five years, she also lived in Osceola, Peru and Truro. Ila had been a certified medical aide at West Bridge Care & Rehabilitation and a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, both in Winterset.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Wendall Smith, and a sister, Waunita Arlene Smith.

She is survived by one son, Robert VanScoy of Winterset; a sister, Emma Bloom of Colorado; and two grandchildren.
