LYLE W. WHEELER, Former Resident Dies at Iowa Falls

Lyle W. Wheeler, a native of the Lorimor community, died October 4, 1972 at Iowa Falls where he had lived since 1960. He was 87 years old

Mr. Wheeler was born northwest of Lorimor on April 4, 1885, a son of Cyrus H. and Mattie Mobley Wheeler. He was married at Creston on March 11, 1914 to Ellen Gilbert. They farmed near Macksburg for two years then moved to near Buckeye where they lived until retiring from farming in 1960.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Veda Bailey and Mrs. Darlene Fischer of Iowa Falls; six grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. He also leaves three brothers, Lee Wheeler of Lorimor, Elva Wheeler of Macksburg and Elza Wheeler of Creston; and a sister, Mrs. Mabel Brooks of Murray.

Funeral services were held from the Open Bible Church at Iowa Falls on October 7 with burial in Cottage Cemetery there.
