JAMES GRACEY OF TRURO DIES AT 88 YEARS

James F. Gracey, a life-time resident of the Truro community, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, at the hospital in Osceola. He was 88 years of age.

Mr. Gracey was born near Truro, March 11, 1874, a son of William J. and Rebecca Bratton Gracey. His life was spent in farming. He was a member of the Congregational Christian church at Truro.

Mr. Gracey was married Feb. 23, 1898, in Clarke county, to Susie Jones, who survives him. He also leaves four children; Doyle Gracey of Truro, Mrs. Pansy Goodrich of Woodburn, Merrill Gracey of Springville and Benton Gracey of Seattle, Wash.; in addition to eight grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and a brother, Herman Gracey of Osceola.

Funeral services were held Friday from the Kale Funeral home in Truro, in charge of the Rev. Willard Marshall. Burial was made in the Ebenezer cemetery.
