Kevin Ronald Wheeler, 36, of Meservey died July 10, 1999, in a truck accident near Cedar Rapids.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 13, at Salem United Methodist Church in Meservey. Burial was at Merservey Cemetery.

Kevin Wheeler was born Jan. 25, 1963, to Ronald Wheeler and Karen Wheeler McDonald. He was baptized in the Rockwell Lutheran Church. Graduating from Rockwell-Swaledate High School in 1981, he served in the United State Army from 1981-84 and the Iowa National Guard from 1984-1986. He married Jeanette Ann Smith on Aug. 8, 1982. Kevin was employed with Consolidated Freight as a truck driver and was a Teamster Union steward.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Lonnie, at home; a daughter, Lindsey, at home; his father, Ronald M. Wheeler (special friend, Wendy Ingham) of Clear Lake; his mother, Karen Wheeler McDonald (husband Ted) of Winterset; one sister, Julie Brunsvold (husband Kevin) of Mason City; maternal grandmother, Ann Steinfeldt of Eldora, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Curt and Milly Smith of Marion; stepbrother, Jeff McDonald (wife Teri) of Winterset; and stepsister, Teresa McDonald of Winterset.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Grarup Funeral Home in Meservey.
