JOHN J. McMANUS Died Here Tuesday

John J. McManus, member of a well known Bevington family, died in the Madison county Memorial hospital Tuesday, shortly after being admitted there from his home in Bevington. He was 49 years of age, and had been ill with a heart ailment for about seven months.

Mr. McManus was a son of Joseph McManus, who operated a grocery store in Bevington for many years. He was born and spent his early life in that community, but lived in California for about twenty years returning to Bevington two years ago. He had been employed in Des Moines.

He is survived by his wife, in California; and a brother, Edward McManus of Des Moines.

Funeral arrangements had not been announced as the Madisonian went to press.
