Services for John Arthur Garmon, 100, who died July 15 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, were held Monday, July 18, at the Kale Funeral Home in Truro with the Rev. Ann Louise Weisenfluh of Truro officiating.

Burial was at the Blair Chapel Cemetery at St. Charles

Born at Patterson on Feb. 3, 1888, Mr. Garmon was the son of William and Laura Bell Garmon. He attended Patterson schools and business college in Kansas City.

On Nov. 16, 1913, he was married to Grace Olive Fogler at Patterson. Mr. Garmon spent most of his life farming and he was a member of the United Methodist Church at Truro.

Survivors include a son, C. E. Garmon and wife Alvina of Truro; daughters, Doris See and husband Clarence of Carlisle, and Betty Anderson and husband Robert of Omaha, Neb.; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, an infant son, three brothers and four sisters.
