Rena Goodwin Services Held

Rena Beatrice Goodwin of 415 N. Second St. died Tuesday Feb. 26, at Madison County Memorial Hospital at the age of 85. Mrs. Goodwin had lived in Winterset for the past 15 years.

Born on Aug. 12, 1894, in Omaha, Neb., Mrs. Goodwin was the daughter of Raymond and Catherine Leonarduzzi Toson. She was united in marriage to Charles Goodwin, who preceded her in death. Before her retirement, she was executive secretary of Safeway Co. in San Francisco, Calif. Mrs. Goodwin was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. A. G. Winkler of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Olivo and Dante; and a sister Mary Croft.

The rosary was held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at Collins Funeral Home, and funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 29 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery with Father Gene Cunningham officiating.
