Services For Fannie Goodwin

A resident of Madison County for 44 years, Fannie Goodwin died Sunday, July 25, 1976, at Memorial Hospital. She was 92 years old.

A native of Solon, Iowa, Mrs. Goodwin was born March 3, 1884, the daughter of Antone Jelinek and Anna Marie Koukal Jelinek. She was married to George W. Goodwin on April 2, 1907 in Sherman County, Nebraska.

For 30 years Mrs. Goodwin was a member of the Loyal Workers Sunday School Class of the First Christian Church in Winterset. She worked as a mother and housewife.

Survivors include four son, John O. Goodwin, Osceola, Iowa, Lawson Goodwin, Parkersburg, Iowa, Fred Goodwin and Vernon Goodwin of Winterset and three daughters, Evelyn Driskill, Afton; Deleath Raymond, Des Moines; and Fern Leeper, Winterset.

Also surviving are 26 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, one brother, Joe Jelinek, Ravenna, Nebraska, and two sisters, Bertha Smaha, Ravenna, Nebraska, and Emma Ernst, Kimball, Nebraska.

Mrs. Goodwin was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Loren Antone, and one daughter, Ruth Emaline.

Funeral services for Fannie Goodwin were conducted Wednesday, July 28, 1976, at 10:30 a.m. from First Christian Church of Winterset, Rev. Eldon Jandebeur officiating.

Burial was made at Mt. Pelier Cemetery near Patterson. Memorials were being accepted to the church.
