Hilda A. Golightly, 88, died Sunday, Feb. 8, from complications of arthritis at Integrated Health Services in Winterset.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Feb. 11) at Trinity Lutheran Church in Van Meter with Pastor Kenneth Belz officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Van Meter.
Helda Golightly was born Nov. 29, 1909 in Madison County, Iowa to Rufus G. and Leona E. Wishmier Marquardt. She married Lloyd Golightly Feb. 25, 1933, in Maryville, Mo. She was a 1928 graduate of Van Meter High School, a lifetime resident of Madison County and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers.
She is survived by one daughter, Marjorie (husband Bob) Fogler of Van Meter; one granddaughter and two great-grandsons.
Arrangements were handled by Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Memorials may be given to the Trinity Lutheran Church.
