FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN TEXAS

Ora W. Gibbons, former Madison county resident, died Jan. 25, at a hospital in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was 63 years of age.

Mr. Gibbons was born in Madison county Nov. 23, 1899, a son of Albert and Ida Gibbons. In 1912 he moved with his parents to Kress, Tex., living there until 1930, when he returned to Iowa. He farmed near Madison Chapel until 1933, then moved back to Texas, where the remainder of his life was spent.

He was a member of the Methodist church.

He leaves a brother, Truman Gibbons of Murray, in addition to several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held Jan. 29 from the Watts-Sol funeral home in Lorimor, conducted by the Rev. Walter Williams of Murray. Burial was made in the Barney cemetery.
