Services for Billie D. Landis, 51, rural Winterset, who died at the Madison County Memorial Hospital Oct. 9, were held today (Wednesday) at the Collins Funeral Home with Ted Blunck as a speaker. Burial was at the Peru Cemetery.

Born at Peru Apr. 14, 1932, he was the son of Herbert and Mable Draper Landis. He worked as a bridgeman for Madison County the last four and a half years and had lived in the county for 16 years. He was a veteran of the Korean war and had been a resident of Des Moines.

He married Merilyn Dobbins in Des Moines on Aug. 10, 1957.

Survivors include his wife; mother; sons, Michael, Matthew and Mark, all of Winterset; a daughter, Cathy Landis of Winterset; a sister, Mary Neal of Des Moines; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.
