ARTHUR M. WHITE, Prole

Full military graveside services for Arthur M. White, 62, of rural Prole, who died Oct. 18, 1983 at Veterans Hospital in Des Moines, were held Friday, Oct. 21 at St. Charles Cemetery with the Rev. Fred Lehman and Charlie Morrow officiating.

Born at Magnolia, Iowa, May 23, 1921, he was the son of Ephriam and Cora Alena Hines White.

He was married to Hazel Yvonne Hogue. She died in December of 1960. He was married again to Doris Shannon on Aug. 3, 1970 at Bethany, Mo.

Mr. White was a farmer and a diesel mechanic for Tucker's in Des Moines and had lived in the Prole area for the past 15 years, coming from Seattle, Wash. He had been a member of the U. S. Coast Guard and had served in World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Diane Reeves of Des Moines, and a step-daughter, Diana Armbrust of Traverse City, Mich.; brothers, Leland of Grand River, Iowa, Walter of Raytown, Mo., and Everett of Windsor, Mo.; sisers, Dorothy Warner of Logan, Iowa, Beulah Kirsch of Peru and Wanda Paylo of Sedalia, Mo.; and nine grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, a son and a granddaughter.
