Earlham Rites For Rex Fuller

Rex E. Fuller of Earlham died Wednesday, January 2, at Madison County Memorial Hospital at the age of 78. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 4 at the United Methodist Church in Earlham with the Rev. Walter Sieck officiating. Burial was at the Earlham Cemetery.

Born on February 22, 1901 in Cherokee County, he was the son of Frederick and Eleanor Jones Fuller. Mr. Fuller graduated from Dexter High School in 1921 and attended Iowa State University for one year. On December 25, 1929 he was united in marriage to Winona McCain in Adel, and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this Christmas. Mr. Fuller farmed in the Earlham area and was a member of the Earlham Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife Winona; a son, LeRoy Fuller of Earlham; a daughter, Barbara Young of Winterset; nine grandchiildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Lenocker of Dexter and Mrs. Helen Baughman of Long Beach, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lawrence.

Rex E. Fuller, the son of Frederick and Eleanor Jones Fuller, was born February 22, 1901 in Cherokee County, Iowa. He passed away suddenly early January 2, 1980 at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

Rex graduated from Dexter High School in 1921 and then attended Iowa State University for one year.

On December 25, 1929, he was united in marriage to Winona McCain in Adel, Iowa. The couple spent their working years together farming in the Earlham community. A son and a daughter blessed their marriage. This past Christmas day Rex and Winona were privileged to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.

Rex had a special love for farming and always enjoyed his work very much.

He was a member of the Earlham Methodist Church.

Survivors include his loving wife Winona; one son, LeRoy of Earlham and one daughter, Mrs. Barbara Young of Winterset; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Lenocker, of Dexter, and Mrs. Helen Baughman, of Long Beach, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Lawrence.

Services were held January 4, 1980 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Earlham, Iowa. Interment was at the Earlham Cemetery.
