MRS. ANNA McCUSKER Died Here Friday

Mrs. Anna McCusker, a welll-known resident of the Churchville and Cumming communities for many years, died at the Peterson nursing home in Winterset Friday, May 15, 1953. She was 84 years of age.

Mrs. McCusker was the former Anna Waldron, daughter of Martin and Bridgett Waldron. She was born May 9, 1869, in Lee township. Her father was a veteran of the Civil War.

As a young wman she served as a teacher in the public schools before he marriage to Anthony McCusker, which occcurred in May, 1899. They made their home on a farm near Churchville for 45 years. Her husband's death occurred in December 1945.

She is survived by two sons, Marcus McCusker of Ruthven and Louis McCusker of Modesto, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Florence McLaughlin of Ottumwa, Mrs. Alice McLaughlin of Winterset and Mrs. Mary Harkin of Cumming; 36 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Leo Miller of Waukee, Mrs. Agnes McNamara of Indianola, and Mrs. Julia Laughlin of Denver, Colo

Funeral services were held from the Churchville Catholic church Monday, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. D. P. Curtain. Burial was made in St. Patrick's cemetery in Lee township.
