Steven R. Wickham, 51, of Patterson died of a heart attack Oct. 26, 2000, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 30, at the Patterson United Methodist Church with Pastor Robert Barrick officiating. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery, with military rites performed by Veterans of Foreigh Wars Post 8142 and American Legion Post 184, both of Winterset.
Steven Wickham was born April 15, 1949, to Harold and Shirley (Brown) Wickham of Eldora. A 1967 graduate of Nesco Community High School, he attened Des Moines Area Community College where he obtained an electrical and refrigeration degree. He married Marilyn Nightser on Sept. 6, 1986, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Winterset. He was formerly married to Mary Pilmer. Steve had been a heating and cooling specialist with Martensdale Plumbing and Heating. A veteran of the United States Navy, he was a member of the Madison County NASCAR Club.
He is survived by his wife; his mother of Adel; his father of Mitchellville; a daughter, Amanda Wickham (fiance' Todd Williams) of Winterset; a son, Bradley R. Wickham of Cedar Rapids; two stepdaughters, Judy Nightser of Council Bluffs and Lori Faux (husband Larry) of Winterset; three stepsons, Sean Nightser (wife Leigh Ann) of Council Bluffs. Shane Nightser of Afton and Jason Nightser of Earlham; two sisters, Roxanne Wickham of Helena, Mont., and Debbie Burrell (husband Jim) of Tularosa, N.M.; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset.
