Former Resident Dies on West Coast

Ernest Foster, former Madison county resident, died Friday May 11 in a nursing home in Salem, Ore., where he had lived for 53 years. He was 82 years of age.

Mr. Foster was a retired carpenter. He is survived by his wife, to whom he was married May 6, 1903. they had observed their fifty-ninth wedding anniversary a few days before his death.

In addition to his wife, he leaves three sisters, Mrs. Cora Orr and Mrs. Alice Robinson of Winterset and Mrs. Ada Boling of Des Moines.

Funeral services and burial were held in Salem.
