GERALD ALLEN WREN, 10-Year-Old Boy Dies Suddenly

Gerald Allen Wren, 10-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wren of Peru, died Sunday, May 9, 1965, at the Decatur county hospital in Leon, after a brief illness.

The little boy had accompanied his parents to Davis City to spend the weekend with his maternal grandparents. He had been ill with a "strep throat", but had improved and had been able to attend school. His death was attributed to a brain abcess, resulting from the throat condition.

He was born April 10, 1955, at Shenandoah. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers and a sister.

Funeral services were held May 12 from Slade Funeral home at Leon, with the Rev. Mr. Donelson officiating. Burial was made in the Peru cemetery.
