Services For ETHEL WILDER

Services were held Wednesday, Feb. 11 for Ethel Marie Wilder who died at Creston Manor Nursing Home on Feb. 8, 1981, at the age of 86.

Ms. Wilder was born Nov. 13, 1894 in Macksburg, Iowa, the daughter of Adam Busch and Elizabeth Moon.

On April 12, 1916 she married Rex Marshall Wilder in Macksburg. Mr. Wilder died on Sept. 19, 1974.

Ms. Wilder lived in Macksburg until 1924. She was postmaster at Macksburg from 1913 until 1921. In 1924 she moved to Lorimor and in 1932 moved to Creston, where she spent the remainder of her life.

She was a member of the Hawthorn Rebekah Lodge of Macksburg since 1912 holding several honorary positions, including Noble Grand and District Deputy President.

Ms. Wilder was preceded in death by her husband, Rex; her parents; and two sisters, Vernie Busch and Pearl Bonham.

She is survived by a son, David Wilder of Ames; a daughter, Mrs. Amy Maxine Roseberg of Winnebago, Ill.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services were conducted at Keating-Lindsay Funeral Home in Creston with Rev. K. Wayne Hoehns officiating. Burial was at Moon Cemetery, Macksburg.
