CHARLES FRANK WIGTON

Frank Wigton, eldest child of Elna D. and Florence Cunningham Wigton, was born November 20, 1905, at Van Meter, Iowa and passed away December 23, 1979, at the Craft Care Center in Panora, Iowa.

In August 1936, Frank was united in marriage with Gertrude Wilson of Adel, Iowa, in Maryville, Missouri. Two daughters blessed this marriage.

Surviving him are his two daughters, Mrs. Martha Reno of Des Moines and Mrs. Carolyn Weber of Kansas City, Missouri; three grandchildren, Mark Reno, and Sheila and Susan Weber; three brothers, Gordon and Harry of Redfield and Carroll of Earlham; three sisters, Helen Dunmire, Elsie Woodall and Arlee Foley of Earlham; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

He was a member of the Christian Church of Red Oak, Iowa. For forty-one years Frank worked for Kaser Construction Company, until failing health caused him to retire.

Before he was taken to the Craft Care Center three months ago, he was cared for by Lenora Cave, a special friend.

Services were held at the Chamberlain-Fisher Funeral Home in Redfield on Monday, December 24, at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the Oakdale Cemetery, Adel.
