Thelma Floyd, Florida

A memorial service was held last month in St. Augustine, Florida for Thelma Ladd Floyd, a Winterset native who died May 9 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was 80 years old.

Mrs. Floyd had lived in Florida the last 40 years. She and her husband worked for Ringling Bros. Circus for over 25 years and made their home in Sarasota, Florida, the winter headquarters for the circus.

Mr. Floyd died in 1966 and since that time, Mrs. Floyd made her home in Elkton, Florida, where she stayed with her daughter, Mrs. Avis Hart.

Other survivors include four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Burial was in Sarasota.
