Death of Fred Douglas

Fred Douglas, who lives south of St. Charles, was found dead in his garage, Thursday, February 26th. Mr. Douglas who was 57 years of age, had gone to his garage, about 7 o’clock in the morning. It is thought that he started his car, and then found that a tire was flat. He had apparently attempted to fix the tire, and was found unconscious on the floor by his son, about a half hour later.

Funeral services were held at the Douglas home, Friday afternoon, and burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery. He leaves his wife and four children. He also leaves a brother, Ernest Douglas of Winterset.
