Alice I. Fitch, St. Charles

Alice Irene Fitch, 64, of St. Charles died July 25, 1994 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center, Des Moines of a heart attack. Services are planned for Thurs., July 28 at 11 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in St. Charles with the Pastor Doug Helton officiating. Visitation will be 3 p.m. on Wed., July 27 with the family receiving visitors from 7-8 p.m. Burial will be at the St. Charles Cemetery.

She was born on December 29, 1929 to Joseph and Cornelia (Kaldenburg) Pitts in Maxwell. She married Robert Fitch on August 26, 1950 in Princeton, Mo. The couple lived in Truro from 1965 to 1990 at which time they retired to travel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; and one son.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, Rod Fitch and wife Marie of Des Moines, Ron Fitch of Camas, Wash., Rich Fitch and wife Dianne of St. Charles and Pete Fitch and wife Carla of St. Charles; one step-son Tom Fitch and wife Debbie of Forrest Grove, Oreg.; one step-daughter Donna McReynolds and husband John of Post Falls, Idaho; a brother, Leroy Pitts of Ankeny; one sister, Ethel Mae Reames of Des Moines, 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
