Florence M. Fife, Winterset

Services for Florence M. Fife, 95, Winterset, who died April 17 at the Bethesda Care Center, where she resided, were held Tuesday, April 19, at the First United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David Bauer officiating. Burial was at the St. Charles Cemetery.

Born Sept. 30, 1892 at Dexter, she was the daughter of Arthur and Sarah Evans Marston. On Feb. 12, 1913, she was married to Clarence R. Fife at Dexter.

She was a homemaker, a lifetime resident of Madison County and a member of the First United Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Presbyterian Women's Society and a former member of the Ord Clover Club.

Survivors include a son, Eldon of Mineola, Iowa; daughters, Laura Welch of Belle Plaine, and Lura Beaman and Frances Hood, both of Indianola; sisters, Laura Finney of Winterset and Alta Sawhill of Decatur, Ga.; 19 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters and a granddaughter.
