Services for Charles Bervin Fife, 86, Winterset, who died Nov. 6 at the Care Center South where he resided, were held Tuesday, Nov. 8, at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. David Bauer officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.
Born in Madison County on Oct. 16, 1902, he was the son of David and Susan M. Gilleland Fife; He was married to Mariam Banker on March 15, 1933 in Madison County.
A retired farmer, he was a lifetime resident of Madison County and a member of the Presbyterian church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, David of Winterset; and sisters, Besse DeVault of Earlham and Nettie Niblo of Winterset.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
